Beans like warmer weather. They should not be planted until all danger of frost is past. Lima beans prefer warmer conditions than green beans, with a soil temperature of 65 degrees F. They should be planted in full sun. For bush beans and limas plant the seeds about 1 -2 inches deep, 2-3 inches apart with rows being 24-36 apart. Once leaves have developed, you can thin to 6 inches apart.
Beans are an easier vegetable to grow and great for beginner gardeners.
